Adam Spence recently presented a national program on electronic signatures for the National Academy of Continuing Legal Education. This program was focused on teaching other attorneys about the law regarding the enforceability of electronic signatures under state and federal laws as well as the practical aspects of using signature platforms.
Background on the Program
Adam has over 25 years of litigation experience, having concentrated on trust and estate as well as business disputes for the past 15 years. During this time, Adam and his firm have used technology to collaborate more efficiently and effectively with clients, prepare cases for trial and try them. As part of this effort, several years ago Adam and his staff started using electronic signature platforms for client signatures on most documents, including engagement letters, records releases, and settlement agreements. Adam developed his e-signature program for other attorneys based on his experience using signature platforms with his clients.
